2. Responsible Service & The Norwegian Alcohol Act
BARPRO DA operates in strict compliance with the Norwegian Alcohol Act (Lov om omsetning av alkoholholdig drikk m.v.) and regulatory directives administered by the Ministry of Health and Care Services and municipal licensing bodies.
- Mandatory Age Limits: Serving alcohol to persons under 18 years of age (under 20 years for spirits containing 22% ABV or higher) is strictly prohibited by law. Our staff perform photographic ID checks whenever age is in question.
- Visible Intoxication: Bartenders will refuse alcohol service to any individual exhibiting visible signs of intoxication.
- Service Cut-Off Times: Beverage service ceases strictly at the agreed contractual cut-off time or the hour dictated by municipal license terms.
3. Licensing & Host Obligations
For events held in unlicensed private venues, the primary event organizer carries statutory responsibility for determining whether an ambulatory municipal license (ambulerende bevilling under § 4-5) is required, or whether the event qualifies as an exempt private gathering under § 8-9. BARPRO DA provides advisory assistance to streamline applications.
